This was for the most recent challenge, something colourful. Seeing I have been drawing retro I decided to do a 60s fashion. The patterns and colours of that time were sure bright and colourful. This is india ink with watercolour washes.

I did this painting Saturday, Aug. 21st. I painted it for a challenge at wetcanvas.com tittled Landscapes. The photo was provided and we painted from it. This is Boldt Castle, 1000 Islands, Ontario Canada. This castle was never completely finished. But has been restored to its original which was built in 1900.

#225 Sketch Something Sticky

I actually created two sketches in one day! This second one was for something sticky. So I came up with this sketch of a lollipop. I think I'm in retro mode because my latest sketches are of the 60s. Do you remember those all day lollipops? Do you remember how sticky and messy they were? They would get all over your clothes and for us girls if we had long hair, our hair would stick to them.

This sketch - painting was a favorite toy of mine. I created it primarily for a yahoo group called Everyday Matters. Everyday Matters is a drawing group which gives inspiration through ideas to sketch. This particular idea was to sketch a childhood toy..well roller skating was something I really enjoyed. Thus I made this sketch of that.
